A US LLC for Shopify and ecommerce gives your store a legal owner, an EIN and a US business address. It can help with payment setup, but each provider still makes its own decision.
Not required, but common. A US LLC for Shopify and ecommerce lets your store contract, take payments and keep records under a company name. It can also help when applying for payment gateways and suppliers. Payment providers decide approvals, and your local tax rules still apply, so check both before you commit.

A store sells under a name, accepts money, signs supplier terms and answers customer disputes. An LLC gives those activities one legal home. Your privacy policy, terms and checkout can show a real company and address, which customers and payment reviewers look for.
An LLC does not make a weak store trustworthy by itself. Clear policies, real contact details, honest product pages and working fulfillment matter just as much when a gateway reviews you.
Options vary by where you live and where the LLC is formed. Shopify Payments availability depends on the country of the business, so check Shopify’s current supported-countries list before you plan around it. Other gateways, Wise Business and Payoneer each have their own rules.
Stripe does not support businesses based in Pakistan directly. Some founders apply through a US LLC with a US bank and address, but Stripe decides and may reject. Plan a backup, such as a second gateway or marketplace route, and never promise customers a launch date based on an approval.
Not always, but some gateways prefer one. Ask the provider and review our bank guidance.
Often you can change the store owner details and billing entity. Check Shopify’s help pages and speak to an adviser about transferring assets.
The LLC is the same, but your risks differ. Dropshippers rely on supplier reliability and refunds. Brands with their own inventory carry stock, shipping and product liability. Both should read marketplace and advertising rules carefully.
Taxes depend on where customers and stock are. Sales tax, VAT and customs rules vary by country and state, and we do not advise on them. A qualified adviser can map your obligations before you scale ad spend.
Every LLC has recurring tasks. Your state sets an annual report or tax: Wyoming’s annual report minimum is $60, and Delaware charges a $400 annual LLC tax due June 1. Your registered agent renews yearly after the first year, which is included in FenFile plans.
A foreign-owned single-member LLC generally files Form 5472 with a pro forma Form 1120 each year when there are reportable transactions, with a penalty starting at $25,000 for failure. Check FinCEN’s site for current beneficial ownership reporting rules too.
Starter covers formation, first-year registered agent, operating agreement and EIN support. Growth adds bank, Stripe, Wise and Payoneer setup guidance plus a compliance calendar. Complete adds brand identity, a business website and priority support, which suits a new store that also needs a logo and storefront.
You can also add a shared mailing address, a trademark search and annual compliance support. Pay in PKR through WhatsApp if that is easier.

No. You can open a store as an individual in many countries. An LLC is optional, and helps when you want company ownership, business accounts or gateway applications. Check Shopify’s current requirements for your country.
Possibly, but it depends on Shopify’s supported countries and the business details you provide. Shopify decides eligibility, so check its current list. Have a backup gateway plan.
Wyoming suits many solo owners with a $100 filing fee and $60 minimum annual report. Delaware suits investor plans. New Mexico has a $50 filing fee. Sales tax is driven by where you sell, not where you formed.
Sales tax depends on where you have customers and nexus, and on marketplace rules. An LLC does not remove it. FenFile does not give tax advice, so ask a qualified adviser.
Often yes, as brands or trade names under one company, but terms vary by platform and state. Some owners prefer separate LLCs for risk reasons. A qualified adviser can recommend a structure.
